In March 2006, it collaborated with the Swedish Emergency Management Agency on a conference that examined coordinating multi-level governmental responses to disasters.

Homeland Security: Recommendations to Improve Management of Key Border Security Program Need to Be Implemented

The Department of Homeland Security has established a program - the U.S. Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator Technology - to collect, maintain, and share information, including biometric identifiers, on selected foreign nationals entering and exiting the United States.
